Waters for human consumption

The controls on waters for human consumption are performed in accordance with the Legislative Decree nr. 31 of 02/02/01 (Accomplishment of the 98/83 directive about the quality of water for human consumption).
This decree defines the quality features that the water has to have for being considered drinkable.

The samplings as well as the chemical and microbiological analyses on ground and well waters are routine analysis in case of waters that have to be checked to assure the drinkableness, both in private structures (for example to obtain the habitability), and in the public structures to obtain the declaration of habitability and - not less important - on the water autonomous supplying control in the industrial area.

REFLUE WATERS
Samplings as well as microbiological and chemical analyses of depurated waste waters and not, coming from productive settlements and/or from purification plants are made on the respect of the legislation in force that is the Third Part (laws about the ground respect and the fight for the desertification, water preservation from pollution and management of water resources), of the Legislative decree 03 April 2006 n.152, legislative decree 152 of 11/05/2009 (Provisions about the waters preservation from pollution and the acknowledgement of the directive 91/271/EEC concerning the urban sewage disposal and the directive 31/676/CEE about the water protection from pollution caused from nitrates coming from agricultural sources) and following modifications and integrations, of Ministerial decree 30/07/99 about limits to industrial and civil wastes that deliver to the Venice lagoon, at senses of 5 point of  ministerial decree 23 April 1998 about quality requirement of waters and features of depuration plants for the Venice lagoon preservation) and of D.M 185 of 12/06/03 Regulation that give technique laws to reutilize sewage in accomplishment of 26 article, paragraph 2, of legislative decree 11 May 1999, n.152).

These controls are essentials not only to supervise the good functioning of the plant and the quality of the treated waters, but also to forward authorization requests to draining for new productive settlements and/ or for already existing settlements that has to be adjusted to the new laws.

SUPERFICIAL WATERS
Samplings as well as microbiological and chemical analyses of superficial waters from rivers, lakes and sea, suitable to bathing, are performed in accordance with the Legislative decree n. 470 of 8/06/82 (accomplishment of EEC decree n. 76/160 about the quality of bathing waters) and following modifications and integrations.
In the case of superficial water for potable use, fishing cultivation the water control has to respect what indicated on the several attachments of the Legislative decree 152/99.

This decree in fact regulates the quality features about superficial bodies water, the characteristics described by the Ministerial decree nr. 367 of 06/11/03 (Regulation concerning the quality standard fixation on aquatic environment for dangerous substances, article 3, paragraph 4 of the legislative decree 11 May 1999, n. 52).

SWIMMING POOL’S WATERS
The controls on swimming pool’s waters (public and private managements) are performed in accordance with UNI 10637/97 (Requirements of circulation plants, treatment, disinfection and quality of swimming pool’s waters) that defines the chemical and microbiological requirements of waters for the utilization of the plants above mentioned. In the regions where specific disposition are elaborated, the controls are realized also in accordance with the Agreement of 16/01/2003 (Agreement between the Health Minister, the regions, the Trento and Bolzano autonomous provinces about hygienic-healthy aspects for the construction, the maintenance and the vigilance of swimming pools).
