CHELAB SRL – Chemical Laboratories, is a private and indipendent research group, founded in 1979, and is the leading italian testing services and consultancy provider. The range of services offered includes chemical, microbiological and biological, physical and mechanical analysis, efficacy and safety tests and technical scientific assistance for the food, non food, environment, industrial and pharmaceutical industries.
Chelab is organized in twenty specialized laboratories, divided in two different sites located in Resana (TV) –in the north east of Italy – which are distributed in 13.000 mq equipped with cutting edge instruments and in which operate more than 540 technicians (half of them are Bachelor of Science). Other operative units in Italy are located in Lombardia, Tuscany, Campania and Sicily - in Turkey Chelab is present with two laboratories located in Izmir and Istanbul.

ACCREDITATIONS

•SINAL (Italian National System for Laboratories Accreditation) accreditation with number 0051, as laboratory operating in compliance with the Norm UNI CEI EN ISO IEC 17025:2005. The accreditation covers agriculture, food, environment, microbiology, residue, detergents, cosmetic, materials for food packaging, industrial hygiene and GMO analysis (1st accreditation March 1993).

• Certification of the Quality Management System in compliance with the Norm UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 granted by CERTIQUALITY (n. 2171) for the following activities “Planning and provision of chemical, physical and microbiological analysis, research and technical-scientific services for industrial, craft, trade and service enterprise” (1st certification June 1999). The certification is valid inside the IQNet circuit (certificate n. It-6915).

• Certification of the Environment Management System (refers only to the Via Castellana 118/A site) in compliance with the Standard UNI EN ISO 14001:2004 granted by CERTIQUALITY (n. 10899) for the following activities “Only for sampling services and technical-scientific assistance for industry, agriculture and environment” (1st certification July 2006). The certification is valid inside the IQNet circuit (certificate n. It-41432).

TECHNICAL-SCIENTIFIC ASSISTANCE
Knowledgeable consultants, experts on normative, scientific and technological questions offer to Clients the precious know-how of Chelab, providing services of technical-scientific assistance, legal consultancy and professional training. The technical-scientific assistance of each Chelab Divisions supports the Customers in the definition of the proper analytical plan in order to meet specificrequirements and in result interpretation to check their compliance to current regulation.

INTERNATIONAL STANDARD METHODS

Chelab adopt, whenever available, international standard testing methods such as: AATCC, AFNOR, AOAC, APHA, AS/NZS, ASTM, DIN, EN, EPA, FDA, IDF, ISO, OSHA, NIOSH, UNI.

INTERNATIONALIZATION

The policy of Chelab is oriented towards strengthen its presence in foreign markets. Chelab is already present in Izmir (Turkey) and Istanbul through a partnership with EGE ANALIZ LABORATUARI, a Turkish laboratory operating in the food and packaging section. Furthermore Chelab can rely upon the presence of commercial figures in Spain, Portugal, France, Switzerland, Poland, Croatia, Greece and Turkey.

RESEARCH PROJECTS

Chelab laboratories collaborates with Universities and Research Centres to improve innovative testing technologies, and to offer to its Customers services which satisfy the present and future needs.
