Environmental policy

CHELAB s.r.l. (Environmental division / Laboratory of Resana, Via Castellana 118/A) offers sampling services, chemical, physical, microbiological analysis, research services and technical-scientific assistance for trade, agriculture and environment.

Chelab bases its strategies on the capacity to supply to the market services which satisfy the Costumers’needs in accordance with the environmental protection and sustainability.

Therefore the society policy guarantees:

the environmental protection of the place where it is located by preventing every kind of pollution even for the interested Parties.

the conformity to the legal prescriptions and other undersigned prescriptions (applicable to the identified environmental aspects) with a periodical control.

the continuous improvement of own environmental performan

The Direction, in accordance with the expressed policy, has defined the following points of reference/aims:

Environmental Management system: respect of the compliance with the Standard UNI EN ISO14001:2004.
Services, processes, resources management: identifycation and understanding of the needs/expectations of the interested Parties. Chelab supplies services which minimize the environmental impact. Furthermore Chelab manages carefully the resources and tries always to optimize the use of the products.
Professional training: maintenance of a collective care for the environment through staff and freelances’ training. Chelab plans and carries out specific training for the staff and awakens the staff of external companies to environmental problems when they carry out activity inside Chelab’s plants.
Emergencies: prevention or mitigatigation of negative environmental impacts connected to emergency situations. Emergency procedures are established to underline the importance of the prevention through the risk analysis and by adopting specific preventive measures that can solve possible accidents.
Performance improvement:monitoring, measurement and improvement of the environmental performances to minimize the environmental impacts. Application of suitable methods to control the processes and to reduce the effects of the company activities on the the environment.
Information and communication: guarantee transparency during the carrying out of environmental performances. The interested parties can have Chelab’s environmental policies and data connected to its activities at their disposal.

The Direction orders that this policy has to be available to the public that requires it and to be communicated to all company staff and the freelances.
