Labelling assessment
The service offered by the Technical Scientific Assistance of the cosmetic division, further to the verification of the compliance of product claims and labelling with the legislations in force, includes also the proposal of alternative claims and, eventually, the tests which have to be performed to support them.
Drafting of cosmetic dossier
The expert staff of the cosmetic division is able to elaborate cosmetic dossier and safety evaluations and to advise the most suitable analysis for an appropriate evaluation of the innocuity of the products.
Assistance in the choice of suitable analysis
Chelab qualified staff, continuously updated and trained, is able to evaluate the safety of use of cosmetic products, including the evaluation of:
- Skin compatibility;
- Efficacy of solar products;
- Dosage of substances controlled by regulations: preservatives, UV filters, colorants and substances present in the Annex III of the 713/86 Regulation and following modifications including, for example, the allergenic aromatizing substances;
- Absence of toxic-dangerous substances, such as nickel or chromium, which can be present in a cosmetic product depending on its typology, formulation and/or origin;
- The correspondence between the label indications and the real qualitative-quantitative composition of a cosmetic;
- The efficacy: evaluation of the optimal strategy to verify the performances of a cosmetic product;
- The chemical, physical, microbiological stability in accordance with new regulations which provide the indication about the PAO (Period After Opening) on the labelling of cosmetic product
Each of the above mentioned aspects can assume a preponderant importance in relation to the purposes of the customers: the experience of Chelab technical scientific assistance is at the complete disposal of the Customers to evaluate the more suitable analysis to satisfy their needs.
